Community
Shop/Food Cooperative in One Stop Shop
There is now a community shop and food cooperative based within the One
Stop Shop. The shop is open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from
10.00 am until 2.00 pm. Fresh fruit and vegetables are also available
during this time and at the Post Office outwith these times during
normal Post Office opening hours. We also supply fresh free range eggs
and pre packed bacon. Our produce is supplied to us through cruets cafe
and all produce is collected fresh from the market each day. We also use
a local supplier where possible. Fruit and vegetables can be ordered one
day and will be available for collection next day. Fruit and vegetable
ordered on a Tuesday will be delivered on a Thursday. For anyone wishing
us to deliver their fruit and vegetables or any item from the community
shop please ask and this will be arranged. Anyone wishing to visit the
community shop outwith the opening times can do so by asking at the Post
Office and either Helen or George will open the shop up. The community
shop is run by a number of volunteers and the success of this project is
very much down to the time and effort given by these volunteers. The
shop has many items on offer both new goods and used goods including,
adult clothes, children's clothes, books, videos, DVD's, ornaments,
handbags, watches, toys, curtains, soft toys etc. Anyone wishing to
donate any unwanted please contact Helen or George at the One Stop Shop
or if able when passing can hand them in.
Cruets
There is an excellent
cafeteria within Coalburn One Stop Shop. This is run by Mrs Elizabeth
Jamieson. There is a good varied choice of home made fayre available at
a very competitive price.
The times of opening are:
Monday, Tuesday, Thursday 10.30am - 2.30pm
Friday
12.30pm - 2.30pm
Sunday
12.30pm - 5.30pm
