Coalburn Miners' Welfare Charitable Society
The management of Coalburn Miners' Welfare Charitable Society would like to thank George Greenshields, Helen Donnelly and Amanda Davis at Coalburn One Stop Shop for sourcing funding to deliver food boxes, provide meals and food/electricity vouchers for the local community. The vouchers were for use in both the local shops in Coalburn. Thanks goes to Carolann at Poppy's Tea Room for preparation of the food boxes and providing the meals. Thanks also goes to Liz Ritchie, Eileen Campbell, Janice Mooney and Lisa Menzies for volunteering to deliver the food boxes each month. Special thanks to Liz Ritchie for the organisation of the deliveries and for distributing the food/electricity vouchers. This was made possible with funding received from ORSTED at Kennockhead Wind Farm and from the Big Lottery Community Fund. Everyone working together has made this a huge success.
